I reserved my 2023 RX 350H Luxury Model at two dealerships (local and out of state) to hopefully lessen the odds of a long wait. Was required to pay a refundable $1000 deposit at both dealerships. I reserved at my local dealership in June 2022 and at the out of state dealership in December 2022. I have a specific color and interior (Matador Red Mica Exterior w/Macadamia Interior) which after reading most of these forums could be a LONG wait after all. The out of state dealership stated that the Matador Red Mica is a rare color. Is this true? The out of state dealership provides updates every 3 weeks and the local dealership is just the opposite. Just wondering if anyone else has been waiting or expecting a long wait as well. I understand RX 350H models are just 17% of the RX production at the Cambridge Ontario plant. I really thought these vehicle shortages were coming to an end in 2023.

I placed an order for the RX350 ultra-luxury model in Jun7 2022; our order status is still pending. I have noticed the very few RX350H arriving at the dealerships. Perhaps the manufacturer will be able to built a few for the Canadain Market?

Lexus has under estimated the demand for the RX350H models. This will unfortunately result in longer wait times (est 4-9 months). Since I'm in no great hurry for a new vehicle presently, I will patiently wait for now. I have hope that production will ramp up at the Cambridge Ontario plant later this year from Dealership demands.

I just placed my order for a 350h and the dealer said they get very few of them coming in. Not sure how long the wait might be, but I assume they know how many they should build in relation to demand. Personally, methinks some numbers tend to get overly reported....might not be the demand that is claimed.

I imagine the red is less popular compared to some of the other colors, so depending on how they approach production it could take a while. I thought the shortages would wind down this year but things are so up and down with supplies it's hard to say.

I guess that's another way to look at the rarity of the Matador Red Mica color. Looks like consumers prefer the Black, Gray and White color vehicles because that's all I see advertised on Lexus websites. I'll continue to wait because that's my preferred color in the RX350H Luxury trim. Thanks for the additional insight.

From A dealer perspective I those colors are considered "safer" and easier to sell than red. Even though Matador Red Mica is such a nice shade of red.

Gray, white or silver. I figure I can't be very choosey at this time. Will be lucky enough to even get a "PINK" car, if anything comes available! LOL!
